Funeral services for Robert Hauman, 79, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Mr. Hauman died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Pathway Hospice, or Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. Bob was born July 9, 1933 in Milan, IL, the youngest of 7 children to Emil and Marie Louise Balliu Hauman. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School. He attended Augustana College and received his Bachelors Degree from St. Ambrose College. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Carole Leenknecht October 26, 1963 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He had been a supervisor and then in management at Alcoa, Bettendorf, IA, retiring in 1995 after 41 years of service. He had been a sports enthusiast and an Avid Chicago Cubs Fan and Chicago Bulls Fan. After retirement he enjoyed meeting with the Alcoa Retiree's. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Carole Hauman, East Moline; daughters, Beth Hauman, Moline, and Jennifer (Michael) Enstrom, Rock Island, IL; brother, Thomas (Gertie) Hauman, Rock Island, and Edward Hauman, East Moline; his special dog, "Buddy."
