Robert W. Inglis, Jr., 83, of Geneseo, formerly of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday November 28, 2022 at Allure of Geneseo.

A memorial visitation and celebration of Robert's life will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Inurnment will be at a later date in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Robert was born August 23, 1939 in Rock Island, the son of Robert and Rachel Broux Inglis. He married Shirley Simmons on May 23, 1964 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1997.

He was a machinist for 30 years with John Deere Harvester Works, and a member of the U.A.W.

Robert enjoyed Antique Cars and playing bingo.

Surviving are his children, Thomas (Tracy) Inglis, Geneseo, Wendy (David) Manary, Moline, IL, and Tammy (Patrick) Burken, Clinton, IA; four grandchildren, Bobby Inglis, Jason Inglis, William Lambrecht, and Sean Burken; one great grandchild; many step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Woodson, Silvis, IL and one niece and one nephew.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and his parents, Robert and Rachel.
