Robert E. Johnson, 79, of East Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Hope Creek, East Moline.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. Private interment was in Moline Memorial Park, Moline, IL. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, assisted the family with arrangements.

Robert was born November 25, 1945 in Port Huron, Michigan, to Earl and Dorothy (Felk) Johnson. He graduated from Drake University. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Robert was a counselor for many years with the Division of Rehablitation for the State of Illinois. He was a member of the Drake University Alumni Association and Moline American Legion, Post 246.

Surviving are his brother, James (Ardith) Johnson, of Kentucky; sister, Nancy (Robert, Sr.) Lagaisse; nephews and nieces, Robert Lagaisse, Jr., Amanda Hauger, Jake Lagaisse, and Jadith Siekman; and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorothy.
