Robert E. Jones, 57, Milan, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at his home. A memorial visitation is 4-6PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Services will be at the conclusion of visitation. Memorials may be made to the family. Anyone wishing to attend graveside service should be at the funeral home by 8:30 AM Thursday for a 9AM committal at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Robert was born July 17, 1954 in Moline. He married Robbin VonThun on July 13, 1974 in Moline. Bob served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and ABATE, enjoyed camping and fishing and riding his motorcycle. He loved his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Robbin, children (significant others); Keri Jones and Doug Lieber, Milan and Casey Jones and Heather West, Silvis, grandchildren, Abbagale and Lyra, brother Tim Jones, Maquoketa, IA and a sister Carol Ingold, Centralia, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Dolly Mayfield and two brothers.
