Robert Knight , 88, of Englewood, CO, formerly of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday December 2, 2024, in Englewood.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, January 3, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Friday prior to services. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.

Robert was born April 7, 1936, in Clinton, Iowa, a son of Theodore and Garnet Knight. He married JoAnne M. Woodyatt on June 17, 1956, in Rock Falls, IL. She preceded him in death on February 4, 2009.

He was a manufacturing engineer for John Deere for many years. He truly enjoyed and was proud of his work for John Deere.

Robert was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline.

Robert loved football, playing and watching golf with friends, and a great sirloin steak. He was a generous man who always looked out for his family. Later in life he loved walking his pup, Suzie Q, and making sure she was spoiled. Robert was dearly loved and will be missed.

Surviving are his children, Kathy (Don) Wolfe, Bettendorf, IA, Randy (Kim) Knight, Bartow, FL, and Jay Knight, Englewood, CO; brother, Jerry (Janice) Knight, of Champaign, IL; and his beloved Silky Terrier, "Suzie Q".

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne; parents, Theodore and Garnet; and his brother, Don Knight.
