Graveside services for Robert "Bob" Nemetz, 93 of East Moline, IL, will be 10AM Tuesday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Anyone wishing to attend should be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, by 930 AM. Bob's family will greet friends prior to leaving for the cemetery. There will be a gathering following the service at Bobbe Cobert's home. Mr. Nemetz died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Bob was born November 3, 1918 in Ladysmith, WI, the son of "Bob" Bohosalav and Theresa Adamic Nemetz. He married Therese Peterson in 1944 in Fort Benning, GA. She died in 1979. He latter married Emily Cobert in 1980 in St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. He retired from Alcoa in 1978 after 31 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Emily Nemetz, Silvis, IL; daughter, Karen (Scott) Tulloch, Jamul, CA; son, Steven (Wendy) Nemetz, Hampton, VA, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Bobbe Cobert, East Moline and Patti (Steve) O'Connell, Marion, IA; stepson, David (Debbie) Cobert, Silvis; 6 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, sisters, Georgia Miller and Ellen Nemetz.
