Funeral services for Robert Pena Ochoa, 50, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm. Mr. Ochoa died Thursday, August 31, 2017, as the result of a heart attack. Robert was born June 19, 1967, in Moorehead, MN, the son of Francisco Villereal Ochoa and Gloria Pena Molina. He served in the U.S. Army from 1987-1991. He had been a teacher in the Rock Island School system for nearly 30 years, where he was currently teaching at Edison School. Survivors include his mother, Gloria Molina, East Moline; siblings, Frank (Amy) Ochoa, East Moline, Susana (Victor) Barrera, Rock Island, Andy Ochoa, Moline, and Michguel (Tara) Ochoa, Colona, IL; Godson who he considered his "son", Norman Trujillo, East Moline; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
