Robert W. Thiem Jr., 80, Geneseo, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Private family services will be held at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Bob was born on February 12, 1941 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Robert W. and Berneice "Bea" (Dowell) Thiem Sr. He married Nancy Hanneman in 1957. He later married Dory (Krambeck) Bennett on September 30, 1978. He retired after 43 years from the former A.D. Huesing Pepsi Bottling plant in Rock Island, IL as part of delivery and sales. He was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal fan. He enjoyed bowling, achieving three 300 games, playing golf, with three hole-in-ones under his belt, and also fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Survivors include his wife Dory, children, Tom (Deb) Bennett, East Moline, Deb (Terry) Schneider, East Moline, Cindi (Jon) Ellstrom, East Moline, Lisa Isbell (Bruce Shappard), Silvis, IL and Robert "Mick" Thiem, East Moline, fourteen grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, siblings, James Thiem, Phoenix, AZ, and Karen (Jimmy Lee) Davis, Green Forest, AR, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Annette Marie Thiem and son, Ricky J. Thiem.
