Funeral services for Rodney L. Reddick, 69, of New Windsor, IL, are 11 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Rodney died Friday, December 26, 2008 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospitals. Rodney was born November 6, 1939 in Letts, Iowa, the son of George C and Rebecca (Reed) Reddick. He married Marian Kave on June 3, 1967 at Silvis Baptist Church. He served in The US Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired in 1993 from the Tool Crib of Department 40 at International Harvester Works, East Moline. Rodney's true passion was the family farm. He loved horse back riding and his many family pets over the years. Rodney enjoyed traveling and was a member of the New Windsor American Legion. He was a good and caring man. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marian, foster daughter and son-in-law Coco and Jose Gonzalez of Ferris, Illinois, grandchildren Michelle, Michael and Megan , brothers and sisters-in-law; Harlin and Joyce Reddick, Woodhull, Marvin and Florence Reddick, of Aledo, Darrell Reddick of Andover, Betsy and Harley Asher of Marceline, Missouri and Marcella Reed of Marceline and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Hilton.
