Funeral services for Roger Theuninck, 82, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30. Mr. Theuninck died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Roger was born June 30, 1932, in Moline, IL, the son of Bruno and Zoe Persyn Theuninck. He served in the U.S. Army. He married JoAnn Carr October 8, 1955 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island. He retired from ALCOA, Bettendorf, IA in 1994, after 36 years of service. He and his wife had wintered in Tucson, AZ, for the last 20 years, and had enjoyed their time there. He loved to golf. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, JoAnn Theuninck, East Moline; daughter, Colleen (Jeff) Cothron, San Tan Valley, AZ; son, Mike (Cheryl) Theuninck, Maple Grove, MN; granddaughter, Ashley Cothron, Aurora, IL; and sisters in law, Dorothy Theuninck and Lauretta Schershel. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jason Theuninck; sister, Pauline LeMaster; brothers, Chuck Theuninck , Richard Theuninck, and Don Schershel.
