Roland "Rollie" S. Seger , 89, of Port Byron, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Bettendorf, Iowa.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no services. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morrison Gun Club.

Roland was born July 4, 1935 in Erie, Illinois, the son of Roland E. and Marjorie (Quade) Seger.  He married Judith "Judy" M. Shamasko in November of 1960 in Dixon, IL.

Roland began working in the family market, Seger's Market, which he later owned for 27 years.

He served in the Illinois Army National Guard. He was a member of the Morrison Gun Club and enjoyed hunting and trap shooting.

Surviving are his wife Judy, of Port Byron, IL; and sons, Bart (Linda) Seger, Galena, IL, and Tal (Donna) Seger, Erie, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Marjorie; and his sister, Nancy Peterson.
