A celebration of life gathering for Ronald J. Nagel, 69, East Moline is 2-4 PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. A service will follow at 4PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network. At Ron's request his body has been cremated. He died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his home. He was born September 9, 1937 in Moline, the son of Albert and Gertrude (Donth) Nagel. He graduated from Alleman High School in 1955. He married Sharon Mulry on December 27, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Ron worked 32 years and retired as a repairman from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and reading. Ron truly loved the time spent with his family, especially with his children, grandchildren and great grandson. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sharon, his children and spouses Ronda and Bill Gramling, East Moline, Jody and Tami Nagel, East Moline and Annette and Thom Bollaert, Spokane, WA, grandchildren; Brandon and Ashley Gramling, Eric, Alex, Chelsey and Tanner Nagel, and Brennan, Emily and Noah Bollaert and a great grandson Ethan Cole Harrison, and his father Albert Nagel. He is preceded in death by a grandson Adam Bollaert in 1987 and his mother in 2001.
