Ronald D. Phillips, 80, East Moline, passed away on Monday June 6, 2016 at Unity Point-Trinity, Rock Island. His family will meet at Greenview Memorials Gardens, East Moline at 1PM Saturday to celebrate his memory. Ron was born on June 20, 1935 in Decorah, IA, the son of Louis and Rosalie Barr Phillips. He married Audrey Anton in 1956, and together they had seven children. Ron was a self employed mechanic and body man. He last worked in maintenance for the Isle of Capri, Bettendorf. He was a fan of all types of racing, but preferred to be behind the wheel of his #6. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with friends. Survivors include his children, Ronny Jean (Les) Stout, East Moline, Rosalie Stephens, Davenport, Rae Lynn (Dennis) Sawvell, Davenport and Ricky (Tracy) Phillips, Moline, sixteen grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sister, Lavon Kleffner, East Moline brother, Dale Phillips, Silvis and his special friend, Mary King. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Randy, Rene and Rodney, sisters Donna and Betty and his brother John.
