Obituary

Ronald L. Sellers, East Moline, passed on May 21, 2018. Funeral services are 11 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time. Ron was born September 9, 1948, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Leo and Ruby Turner. He attended and graduated from Rock Island High School. Ron worked as a printer at The Rock Island Argus. Ron so loved his family. He looked forward to traveling and visiting his brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. Uncle Ron always had a smile on his face and a caring manner. My how he liked to share experiences and tell stories about vintage cars. He was fond of every make and model from 1940-70. He was an avid bingo player and looked forward to playing with his friends at Ridgewood Towers. He especially enjoyed watching era 1960-70's programs on the TV Land Channel. Ron was excited about his upcoming move to the Fort Armstrong, Rock Island. Survivors and those who will honor his memory are his siblings, Sharon (Ron) Keigan, Webster City, IA, Linda (Phillip) Thomas, Decatur, IL, Patty (Jim) Burcham, Burlington, IA, Donna Turner, Clarion, IA, Partrica Blumer, Sioux City, IA, Betty (Keith) Westman, Webster City, Sheri (Kenneth) Osborne, Webster City, Leo (Barb) Turner, Keokuk, IA, Robert Turner, Webster City, many nieces and nephews and his special friend, Mike. He is proceeded in death by siblings, Dennis Turner, Terry Turner, Dorothy Fuller and Clifford Sellers and his parents, Leo and Ruby Turner.The family would like to thank Ron's caregivers for all the loving care and concern they extended to Ronald Sellers.
