Memorial services for Ronnie N. Flowers, 64, of Colona, IL, will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday(today) at the funeral home. Mr. Flowers died Saturday, February 25, 2006 at his home. Memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Ronnie was born June 21, 1941 in Centralia, IL, the son of Virgil E. and Mildred P. (Barton) Flowers. He married Sandra Shamasko, January 13, 1962 in Centralia, IL. She died August 15, 1999. He later married Jeanne Rees, January 15, 2000 in Geneseo, IL. He had worked in the plumbing and heating wholesale business since he was 19 years old. He retired in 2002, from Adel Wholesalers, Bettendorf, IA. Ronnie loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. Survivors include: his wife, Jeanne Flowers of Colona, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mike Vandel of Hampton, IL; grandchildren, Jamie and Jennifer Vandel of Hampton; sisters and brother-in-law, Earline and David Ripple of Summerfield, FL, Pauline Koenig of Davenport, IA.
