Rosalie "Rosie" Duncan, 77, of Colona, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Park Vista. Funeral services are 10 AM Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Burial is in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be said at 3:30 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Rosie was born on March 22, 1939 in Havre de Grace, MD, the daughter of Pasquale and Lucia Liberatore. She was united in marriage to Wendell R. Duncan on April 30, 1958 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Havre de Grace, MD. Rosie retired from John Deere & Co. Corporate office on April 30, 2000. She enjoyed golf, bicycling, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and cooking Italian food. She is survived by her husband Wendell; sons, Kevin (Mary) Duncan of Colona and Randall Duncan of De Soto, IL, granddaughters, Danielle Duncan, Stephanie Duncan and Angela Duncan; a great grandson, Preston Morelock; brother, Frank (Barbara) Liberatore, Havre de Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
