Funeral services for Rose Cobb, 87, of Moline, IL, will be 1:00PM Tuesday at House of the Lord Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Cobb died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to House of the Lord Church, where she had been a member. Rose Giese was born January 4, 1926 in Wilton, IA, the daughter of Herman and Mada Hicks Giese. In her younger years she helped with the family farm in Moline. She married Ivan Cobb in 1944 in Rock Island. He died December 27, 1986. They owned and operated The Landmark Restaurant, Lyndon, IL. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Bernal, Rock Island, and Carol Martin, Albia, IA; son, Brent Cobb, Rock Island; grandchildren, Brenda and Cassie Bernal and Ronald Martin; great grandchildren, Olivia and Althea; sister-in-law, Loretta Giese, Wilton, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Ann Utesch, and brother, Henry Giese.
