Rose Mary Glaudel, 84, Rock Island, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island. Funeral services are 10:30AM Friday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, where she was a member. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a Liturgy service will be read at 4PM. Memorials may be made to her church. Rose Depoorter was born May 16, 1928 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Julia (VanDenBusse) Depoorter. She married LeRoy Glaudel on September 13, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. She worked as the office manager for Saelens Beverage for 27 years. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. Survivors include her husband of nearly 65 years, LeRoy, sons, Steven A Glaudel and Scott E Glaudel, siblings, Margaret Kochuyt, Victor, IA, Joseph Depoorter, East Moline, Robert (Nancy) Depoorter, Moline, Julia DeBlaey, Rapids City, IL, and Theresa (Doug) Wilson, Durant, IA, a brother-in-law Nyle Wegener, Blue Grass, IA and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by siblings, Antoinette Smith, Marie Ratto, Anne Wegener, Dorothy Saelens, George Depoorter, Elizabeth Shumaker, Clara Jackson and Lawrence Depoorter.
