Funeral services for Rose J. Mitola, 92, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Mitola died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Rose La Ferrara was born December 18, 1920 in East Moline, the daughter of Pete and Lena Badami La Ferrara. She married Frank Mitola June 8, 1946, in Milford, CT. He died December 7, 1976. Rose enjoyed sewing. She had been a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. Her life revolved around her grandson. Survivors include her son, Michael (Judy) Mitola, East Moline; grandson, Kevin Mitola; sisters, Irma Bates, Davenport, IA, and Angeline Massarolo, East Moline; brothers, Sam La Ferrara, KS, Benny La Ferrara, Ocala, FL, and George (Geri) La Ferrara.
