Rose Marie Pauwels, 91, Moline, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at River Crossing, Moline. Private family services were held.

Rose Marie was born on May 3, 1930 in Moline, the daughter of Julius and Mary (Bultynck) DeMeulenaere. Rose Marie had worked at the former DeGrieve Market in Moline. She married George J. Pauwels on November 16, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. George died December 19, 2000. Mrs. Pauwels devoted her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters; Ruth (Bernard) Brus, Walcott, IA, Laura (Charles) Flint, Sartel, MN and Mary (Luke) Sakalosky, Bettendorf, IA, grandchildren; Derek, David, Rebecca, Maria and Peter, two great-grandchildren and her sister, Irene DeMeulenaere, Rock Island.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
