Obituary

Funeral services for Rose M. Robinson, 97, formerly of Hampton, IL, will be 11:00AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Mrs. Robinson died April 7, 2014 in Franklin, TN, where she has resided the last seven and one-half years. Rose was born in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Albert Schellenberg and Margaret Schoor. Rose lived in Iowa until July of 1945, when she married Richard Austin Robinson. They moved to Illinois where she lived until 2004. She was a life-long Lutheran, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Martha Circle at Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Moline, IL. She was devoted to her family as well as being a skilled seamstress and an ardent gardener. Rose enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and reading. Rose is survived by three daughters; Diane(Art)DeVooght, Franklin, TN, Nadine Robinson, Pacifica, CA and Geanine Lehmann, Madison, AL; four grandsons; Carlton DeVooght, Andrew DeVooght, U.S. Army Captain Richard Lehmann and U.S. Army Captain William Lehmann, six great-grandchildren; Libby, Rose, Lily, Kirby, Charlie and Andrew DeVooght and Tobias Alan Lehmann, whose birth is expected on May 6, 2014, Rose is also survived by her brother-in-law; Dean Robinson of Thomson, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
