Funeral services for Rose Terry, 82, East Moline, are 11AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Rose died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Hope Creek, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to the family to donate a bench to Hope Creek in Rose's name. Rose Jones was born May 5, 1928 in Rathburn, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Iva (Sterns) Jones. She married Dale Terry on April 18, 1954 in Morris, IL. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1966. Rose had worked at the Alcoa Canteen in Bettendorf and the former Mr. Quick in East Moline. She had a passion for life and loved being with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children and spouses: Jay Terry, Moline, Rebecca Nolte, Davenport, IA, Jeff and Sue Terry, Osborn, IL, and Michelle and Steve Rumburg, Silvis, ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, with one on the way, a brother Arvid (Jeanie) Jones, Geneseo, and a special aunt Edith Andrews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers John and Ivan. The family would wish to thank the Hope Creek Staff for their love and care.
