Funeral services for Rose Marie Uzelac, 83, of Carbon Cliff, IL, will be 9:00AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Uzelac died Friday, March 5, 2010 at home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Rose DeDoncker was born July 26, 1926 in East Moline, IL, the daughter of Rene and Alice Jorez DeDoncker. She united in marriage to George Uzelac on May 6, 1946. Rose had been self-employed for over 20 years as a beautician in her home, retiring in 1983. She attended United Township High School, where she was a cheerleader. She bowled with the "Aim & Fire" bowling league for 10 years and was a season ticket holder for both Circa 21 and the Barn Theatre. Survivors include her husband, George Uzelac of Carbon Cliff, daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Stefan Danielsson of Carbon Cliff; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Lavenia Uzelac of Carbon Cliff, Michael Uzelac of Carbon Cliff; sister, Joan Ludin of Colona; grandchildren, Cari (fiancée Mykael Harrison) of East Moline, Nickolas (wife, Lynn) of Carbon Cliff, Waylin (wife, Trisha) of Cleveland, IL, Melissa of Bloomington, IL, Elizabeth of South Korea USAF; great grandchildren, Makenzei, Nickolas Jr., Alex, Viahna, Elijah, and Ayanna. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ernie DeDoncker.
