Rosemary Schutz-Hiatt, 84, of East Moline, IL, passed away Thursday October 29, 2026 at her home.

In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned. Private interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rosemary was born August 2, 1942, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to John and Annamary (Wallace) Hyde. She married Robert Schutz in 1961 in East Moline. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1987.

Rosemary was employed at Illini Hospital, Silvis, for 20 years, and also was a Home Health Aide at Visiting Nurses Association for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting and needlework. Her favorite times were those spent making memories with family and friends. Rosemary will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Surviving are her daughters, Debra Hahn, Davenport, and Darcy Schutz, East Moline; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Kimberly Schutz; parents, John and Annamary; and sister Carolyn Irvine.
