Roy Freeman, 76, of East Moline passed away Saturday March 11, 2017 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.
Visitation will be from 1PM until 2PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd. East Moline. Graveside services will be held at 2:30PM Wednesday March 15, 2017, at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Elmer was born May 14, 1940 in Ava, Missouri, a son of Raymond R. and Sylvia (Vogt) Freeman. He graduated from Ava High School, class of 1956.
For many years, Mr. Freeman owned and operated car dealerships in the Quad-City area.
He was a former member of the Woodhull Masonic Lodge in Woodhull, Illinois.
Elmer is survived by one daughter: Ivy (Chris) Villa of Chicago, 3 grandchildren: Alexis, Carlie, and Reece all of Chicago; one sister: Joyce (Lyndon) Gheer of Davenport; one brother: Jack (Carolyn) Freeman of Florida; one niece: Christine (Mike) Porth of Iowa; and 3 nephews: Paul (Michelle) Gheer, David Gheer both of Davenport; and Jeff (Jo) Freeman of Eldridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
