Graveside services for Ruby A. Bohnert, 89, Silvis, are 1 PM Monday at St. Mary's Mausoleum. As per Ruby's request, there is no visitation. Ruby died Friday, September 26, 2008 at her home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Ruby was born June 14, 1919 in Moline, the daughter of Roy and Blanche Dillon Mercer. She married Glennon W. Bohnert on June 2, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa. Glennon died May 5, 1992. Ruby loved to read and she and her husband enjoyed camping in earlier years. Survivors include her children and spouses; Sandra and Gary Nahrgang, East Moline, Kathleen and Rich Macumber, Silvis and Douglas and Jeannie Bohnert, East Moline, grandchildren; Kevin, Benton Harbor, Michigan, Julie of Moline, Jeff of Hillsdale, Glenn of Sacramento, CA, Seth of Clinton, IA and Brandon of Moline, one step grandson David of Rock Island, six great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandsons, a brother Wayne Mercer of Davenport and a sister-in-law Marge Mercer of Geneseo.
