Russell Bowlby, 49, of Moline, passed away Sunday July 7, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be noon Thursday July 11, 2019 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home (11am-noon), where memorials may be made to the family. Cremation will be accorded following services and a private interment will be held at a later date, at Dayton Cemetery in Colona.

Russell was born on April 27, 1970 in Moline, a son of Kenneth and Darla (Taylor) Bowlby. He worked as a SAP at Illumina in San Diego for 3 years. He enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar, and drawing.

He is survived by his significant other: Dava Yinger of Hamilton, IL; children: Tyler Bowlby of Rock Island, Hunter Bowlby of Moline, Austin Bowlby of Rock Island, Matilyn Bowlby of Rock Island, and Bailey Webb; grandson: Levi J. Paul Marcin; siblings: Amanda Marcum of Moline, Jennifer Marcum of IL, and James Marcum of Chicago; his grandmother: Eleanor Taylor of East Moline, aunt: Patsy (Paul) Taylor of Moline, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandfather Frances Taylor.
