Ruth A. Feurer, 79, of Moline, formerly of Colona, passed away Wednesday May 23, 2018 at her home. Per her wishes, there will be no services at this time. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the Colona Fire Department. Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline is in charge of arrangements. Ruth was born July 18, 1938 in Macomb, a daughter of David and Ada (Wheeler) Akers. She graduated from Alleman High School, class of 1955. She had previously driven a cab for Buddy Cab, delivered papers, and worked for John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Milan. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and had previously worked at Oak Glen Nursing Home in Coal Valley. Ruth enjoyed fishing, crafts and traveling. Survivors include her son: John Alan Papish of Moline, a great-niece: Michelle (Todd) Pustelnik of East Moline and her 2 cats: Tootsie and Sneezy. She was preceded in death by her parents.
