Funeral services for Ruth "Ann" VandeWiele, 77, of Silvis, IL, will be 7:00 pm Monday, July 25th at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm prior to services. Mrs. VandeWiele died Friday, July 8, 2016, at her home. Ann was born October 12, 1938, in LeClaire, IA, the daughter of James E. and Wilma I. Browning Donelson. She married Robert J. "Bob" VandeWiele December 31, 1955, in East Moline. She retired in 1996 from United Township High School, as the secretary to the principal, after 25 years of service. In her earlier years she had been active in Scouting as a Girl Scout leader. Survivors include her husband, Bob VandeWiele, Silvis; children, The Honorable Mark (Terri) VandeWiele, East Moline, Nancy Schneider, East Moline, and Sue (Ron) VanWatermeulen, Silvis; grandchildren, Jandie (David) Westbrook, Janelle (Garrett) King, Jamie VanWatermeulen, Jennifer VanWatermeulen, Mitchell Schneider, Jared Schneider, Courtney (David) Brickner, Alison VandeWiele, and Jacob VandeWiele; great grandchildren, Annzlee and Brynlee Westbrook, Ellie Brickner and two on the way.
