Ruth A. Vyncke, 92, of East Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 5, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of St. Mary Cemetery, East Moline. A rosary will be recited 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation following from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church or to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy, East Moline.
Ruth was born April 17, 1931 in Perryville, Missouri, the daughter of Leander and Thelma Moore Hunt. She married William L. Vyncke on April 21, 1951 in East Moline. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2019.
In earlier years, Ruth was a secretary at Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island.
She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. Some of her favorite times were those spent with friends and family. Ruth will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma.
Surviving are her children, Kris Vyncke, East Moline, Nancy Toalson (Bruce Nelson), Silvis, Scott (Tana) Vyncke, Moline, and Joel (Laura) Vyncke, Silvis; grandchildren, Stephanie (Blake) Covemaker, Eric Toalson, Angela (Kurt) Kennedy, and Tim (Tori) Vyncke; great grandchildren, Jase, Adalyn, Nathan, and Will.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, William L. Vyncke II, and her brother, Robert Hunt.
