Sandi Jo Hockaday-Smith, 48, of Davenport, formerly of Bettendorf passed away Saturday April 1, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 5:00PM Friday April 7, 2017 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd in East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00PM to 5:00PM Friday at the funeral home, where memorials may be made to the family. Cremation Rites will be accorded following the funeral service, and a private inurnment will be held at a later date at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Sandi was born January 5, 1969 in Moline, a daughter of Kenneth Hockaday and Carol Weeks. She married Eric Smith on August 8, 2015 in Davenport. She enjoyed spending time with "her kids" (nieces and nephews), friends and family, bonfires, being outside and shopping. Sandi is survived by her husband, Eric, of Davenport, siblings: Sheila Hockaday of Camanche, IA and Steve (Sally) Hockaday of Bettendorf; parents: Carol (Weeks) Bivens of Bettendorf, and Kenneth (Kathy) Hockaday of Port Byron; nieces and nephews: Steven Hockaday and Summer Petersen both of Davenport, Haley Swake of WI, Sydney James, Madison Hockaday and London Hockaday all of Bettendorf; step-sons Drake Eberline, of Bettendorf, Kody Smith and Ryan Smith both of Davenport and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
