Sandra "Sandy" Pennington, East Moline, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home. Private family burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline. Sandy was a very shy person who didn't like crowds, therefore there will be no visitation, the family hopes that everyone will understand. Sandy was born March 5, 1948 in Moline, to Thelma and William "Ray" Pennington. She graduated from UTHS in June of 1966 and received her BS in Education from the University of Illinois Normal in 1970. She taught at the elementary school in Vienna, IL. Survivors include sisters, Helen Humphrey Heiland, East Moline and Cynthia "Cindy" Pennington Kennedy, Metropolis, IL, 8 nieces and nephews and several grand nieces an grand nephews. Sandy is preceded in death by her mother, father and brothers Jack and Jerry Humphrey.
