Funeral services for Sandra L. Rivera, 49, Moline, are 10 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Riverview Freewill Baptist Church, Bettendorf or to a favorite charity. Sandy died Monday, September 22, 2008 at University of Wisconsin Medical Center at Madison, WI. Sandra Phillips was born August 21, 1959 in Moline, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy "Faye" (Kilgore) Phillips. She was employed in Customer Service at The National Bank, East Moline. She married Michael Rivera on April 30, 1993 in Rock Island. She had a love of animals especially her cat Abby and her dog Jazzy. Sandy enjoyed vacationing in the sun on Florida's beaches. Sandy was a very compassionate person who would go out of her way to help those in need. She liked to read and was a frequent watcher of QVC. Survivors include her husband Mike, daughter Adriane Morris, Moline, her mother Faye Phillips, Colona and a brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Sandy Phillips, Hamilton, AL.
