Sara Jinez, 78, East Moline passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services are 12 PM Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Sara was born on November 5, 1942 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. She had worked at Crescent Laundry.

Survivors include her children, Julio Jinez, East Moline, Ofelia Tobar, Highland, TX and Juan Jinez, Highland, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Juan Valdez, Laredo, TX and sister-in-law, Juanita Valdez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Pablo and son-in-law, Antonio.
