Funeral services for Sara C. (Munos) Fields, 93, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:00 pm. Mrs Fields died Wednesday, July 28, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL. Sara Munos was born May 18, 1923, in Silvis, IL, the daughter of Ysabel and Victoria Montecino Munos. She married Trino Giminez in 1948. She later married John Fields in 1968. She had worked for several businesses over the years including, The Buddy L. Company, The Rock Island Arsenal, and the Stardust Motel, Moline. The most important thing in Sara's life was raising and caring for her family. She helped raise two of her grandchildren, Lakendra Miller and David Stafford. Survivors include her daughters, Rita (Elroy) Thomas, East Moline, and Christine Griffin, Moline; step daughter, Leanne (Phil) Carter, Raleigh, NC; foster son, Alvin Lacefield, Davenport, IA; 18 grandchildren; 27, great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ramirez, Silvis; sister-in-law, Nellie Munos, Silvis; many nieces and nephews; special friends, the Thomas families. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Lori Thomas; sons, Trino "TJ" Giminez, and Frankie Thomas; step son, John Fields Jr.; step-daughter, Debbie White; 2 infant sisters; brothers, Tom, Felix, Joe, Joseph, Robert and John (who died in the Korean Conflict). Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church. The family would like to thank Tanasha Harrell for the wonderful care she provided for her grandma.
