Funeral services for Sarah DeBlieck, 62, of Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mrs. DeBlieck died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Trinity Pathway Hospice at Terrace Park, Bettendorf, IA. As per the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Trinity Pathway Hospice. Sarah Peterson was born August 27, 1944 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Gordon and Mary (Evans) Peterson. She married Gary F. DeBlieck July 11, 1970 in Racine, WI. Sarah and Gary had been Foster Parents for a number of Foster Children over the years. She initiated the computer lab at Wells School. She had worked for the former Montgomery Elevator during the 1990's. She had been an active member at Faith Lutheran Church, where she belonged to various groups. She had also been a member of Homemaker's (Friends Forever). Survivors include: her husband, Gary DeBlieck of Moline; daughter and fiancé, Rachel DeBlieck and James Brown of East Moline, son, Curtis DeBlieck of Moline; grandchildren, Cari, Kenny and Faith DeBlieck all at home; brother, William Peterson of Racine, WI.
