Funeral services for Sarah Louann Hubbard-Gilbert, 36, of Barstow, IL, will be 10:00 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at the funeral home. Sarah died Monday, January 14, 2019, at her home. Sarah Hubbard was born January 17, 1982, in Silvis, IL, the daughter of Mark and Linda Brand Hubbard. She had worked as a caretaker and enjoyed helping others. Sarah was an outgoing and vibrant person who loved her family deeply, and especially loved being called Sha-Sha by her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, butterflies, rainbows, tattoos, and most of all her children. She loved music and going to concerts. Her favorite band was the The Doors. She loved them so much she even named her first car Jim Morrison. She was convinced she should have been born 30 years earlier as a flower child. Survivors include her children, Kaeleb Joseph Gilbert, Davenport, IA, Gwendolyn Sophia Gilbert and Addison Grace Gilbert, both at home; parents, Mark and Linda Hubbard, Carbon Cliff, IL; siblings, April Dawn (Clayton) Reiling, Hillsdale, IL, Jess (Michael) Richards, Davenport, and Mark Hubbard Jr., Carbon Cliff; "sister", Rachel Hubbard, East Moline; grandmother, Mervin (James) McCord, East Moline; grandfather, Louis Brand, Hillsdale; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Peggy Brand, and her grandfather, Milas Hubbard Jr. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com
