Scott W. Symons, 53, Rock Island, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Visitation is from 10 AM until 11 AM Monday, December 6, 2021 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline, where a time of sharing will be held at 11 AM. Services will also be live-streamed by logging into http://www.facebook.com/vanhoefuneralhome. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors.

Scott was born on March 23, 1968 in Moline, the son of Stanley and Susanne (Huntley) Symons. He graduated from Davenport West High School. Scott was currently working for Crane Equipment and Services, Davenport. Scott had served in the US Army as a petroleum supply specialist. He loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and if he wasn't riding it he was cleaning it. Scott was a hard worker who was always ready to help a friend in need.

Survivors include his parents, Stanley and Susanne, Port Byron, sister, Sonia Symons, Rock Island, stepsons, Alex Anderson and Justin Adams, nephews, Shane and Patrick Bohannon, his wife Melinda, Godson, Nathan Terrill, several friends who were like brothers to him, and his beloved dogs.
