Funeral services for Shane Preston Entwistle, 36, Colona, are 10 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private family committal services will be at a later date at Dayton Corner's Cemetery, Colona. Visitation is 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Shane died unexpectedly September 6, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Shane was born August 15, 1973 in Silvis, IL, the son of Gail Entwistle Hanstings, Geneseo and James Entwistle, Ark. He graduated from High School in Geneseo. He had been working as a drywall finisher. He enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends, fishing, camping and building things with his hands. Survivors include his mother and step-father Gail Entwistle Hastings and Lester Johnson, of Geneseo, father and step-mother James and Laverne Entwistle, of Arkansas, brother and friend Caleb Hastings of Colorado Springs, CO, and brothers and sisters; Jimmy, Sharon and Faith Entwistle all of Florida, grandparents Anna J. and James Blair of Colona and Richard and Phylis Entwistle, Florida, Aunts: Cherie (Gary) Fulks, Geneseo, Linda (Howard) Robertson, Manchester, TN, Anna (Richard) Roselle, Colorado Springs, and uncle Bobby McCullough, Colona. He is also survived by several cousins who he was very close to including Jason Fulks who was also a very close friend. Shane will be loved and missed by all those that were fortunate enough to know him. Mom loves you more. #1 son and #1 brother!
