Funeral services for Shane R. Naert, 44, of Carbon Cliff, IL, will be 10 am Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Wednesday at the funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 3:30. Mr. Naert passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Shane was born May 14, 1977, in Moline, IL, a loving son of Charles and Pamela (Soucinek) Naert.

Shane was an avid Rolle Bolle player and Chicago Bears fan. He was president of the Hand in Hand Bollers Club and member of the East End Club. Shane loved to make people laugh and spend time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include son, Max Naert, Geneseo, IL, mother, Pamela Naert, Carbon Cliff; wife, Victoria "Tori" Naert, Hampton, IL; sister, Lori (Kurt) Kessel, Rockledge, FL; nephews, Connor and Colby Kessel.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.

Memorials may be made to the Milan Humane Society.
