Funeral services for Sharon E. Garrett, 66, of Colona, IL, will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Garrett died Friday, December 3, 2010 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Sharon was born October 28, 1944 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Gerald and Janice Burd Brown. She married Lynn Garrett in 1969 in Rock Island, IL. He died in 1988. She had managed the former Mobil Gas Station in Milan, IL for many years. In her earlier years she enjoyed reading. She loved watching NASCAR with her grandson. Survivors include her daughter, Melissa (Barney) Miller of Colona; grandson, Andrew Harris of Colona; sister, Marilyn Seifert of Colona.
