Sharon R. Sparks , 87, of Hampton, IL, passed away Monday September 15, 2025 at MercyOne-Genesis, Silvis, IL.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.

Sharon was born December 30, 1937, in Hampton, IL, a daughter of Clairmont and Irene (Sparks) Gill. She graduated from United Township High School, Class of 1955.

She worked at the State Hospital, Franciscan, and retired from Genesis West, Davenport, IA.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, was an avid walker and enjoyed walking her dog at the river. Some of her favorite times were those spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cara (Joseph) Hoener, East Moline, IL, and Cynthia "Cindy" (Chris) Hodge, Buford, GA; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, David C. Sparks; parents, Irene and Clairmont; and her brother, John Gill.
