Sherrill Yvonne Hahn Scudder (Sherry), age 77, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Unity Point Trinity hospital in Rock Island, surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held at First Lutheran Church in Moline, Illinois, on Monday, July 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time and burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. Sherry was born on May 24, 1941, in Spring Valley, Illinois, to Albert and Gladys (Husser) Hahn, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Karol Richard Scudder for 30 years before he passed away on January 17, 1993, in Walnut Creek, California. Sherry was outgoing and loved people. For many years she worked in the banking industry and was employed at Colona Avenue Bank, in East Moline, Illinois; Bank of America in Antioch, California; and American Bank in Moline, Illinois. Outside of work, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and loved roses, lighthouses, the Quad City Mallards, and yorkies (especially Gigi!). Sherry is survived by her sons: Kevin, of Stockton, California, and Kyle, of Pittsburg, California; and four grandchildren: Vanessa and Arthur, of Bettendorf, Iowa; and Anthony and Meghan, of Pittsburg, California. She is also survived by her brother, Lyndon Hahn, of Peru, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wreaths Across America (www.wreathsacrossamerica.org).
