Sherry K. (Ode) Clayton, 61, of Silvis, passed away Friday morning September 21, 2018 at her home. Cremation Rites have been accorded and a memorial gathering will be held from 11AM-2PM Monday, October 1, 2018 at Butterworth Park Pavilion, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline has been entrusted with arrangements. www.vanhoe.com Sherry was born December 13, 1956 in Bismarck, ND, a daughter of Myron and Phyllis (Guthmueller) Ode. She graduated from Riverdale High School in rural Port Byron, IL, class of 1973 and attended college at the University of Minnesota in Crookston, MN. She worked at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport for several years in Medical Records. She enjoyed arts, crafts and fishing. She loved life and was an avid Mallards fan. Survivors include: 3 sisters: Margo Murdock of East Moline, Doreen Collatt of Eagan, MN; and Vicki Pratt of Moline; a brother: Michael (Angela) Ode Sr. of Taylor Ridge; nieces and nephews: Deanna (Corey) Baisch of Eagan, MN, Douglas (Lynn) Lynnes of Pisek, ND; Erikka Purnell of Moline, Payton Ode of Anderson, IN, Marcia Ode of East Moline, Michael (Wendy) Ode Jr. of Moline; and also several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
