Sheryll A. Lucas, 79, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3rd, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Sheryll was born May 24, 1943 in Sibley, Iowa, a daughter of Merle and Gladys Platz Overmire. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline. Sheryll married Leonard W. Lucas on January 7, 1961 in East Moline. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1999.

Sheryll was a homemaker, and will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. She also was an "Avon Lady" for many years. Sheryll and Leonard owned and operated Lucas Floor Care together for many years.

Her family, faith and friends were very important to her. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Sheryll enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music, especially the "Gaither's". She was always a very organized lady in all that she did. Her other interests included gardening, knitting, crocheting, painting rocks, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Surivors include her children, Alan F. Lucas, Moline and Pamela (Alan) Cullor, Moline; grandchildren, Stephanie (Pat) Clark, Ryan Lucas, Melissa (Shelley) Bauwens, Meghin (Ryan) Gould and Abby Cullor (fiance', David Sanderson); great grandchildren, Addison, McKenzie, Hannah, Finley and one on the way; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sandy Overmire, East Moline; and many nieces, nephews and additional family.

Sheryll was preceded in death by her husband; son, Leonard W. Lucas, Jr.; parents; and siblings, Neil Overmire, Don Overmire, Jack Overmire and Marley Overmire.
