Shirley Ann Bideaux, 81, of Hampton passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at home.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Memorials may be left in care of a local animal shelter of your choice. Van Hoe Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Shirley was born on March 14, 1943 in Moline, IL, a daughter of George and Mary Helen (Stone) Johnston. She married Richard Bideaux on February 3, 1962 in Silvis and they enjoyed over 62 years of marriage.

Shirley was a homemaker for many years, staying home to raise three children. She cared for everyone including her own family and friends. Shirley was involved in many activities and organizations including: Bowling League Team Captain and secretary for 16 years at Sam's Bowling Alley in Moline, Tops Leader and Captain overseeing five counties, Hampton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary President, Cub Scouts and Brownies Leader (Hampton), Police Matron Crossing Guard and Bunco/Card Club Member (Hampton).

Those left to cherish Shirley's memory include her husband, Richard Bideaux Sr., Hampton; children, Mary Ann (Preston) VanLoon, North Dakota, Richard Bideaux Jr., Davenport and George (Angie) Bideaux, Geneseo, IL; grandchildren, Justin Michael (Chyna) Nelson, Andalusia, Jason Alan Nelson, East Moline, Kaitlyn (Jeff) Magers, South Carolina, Lindsey Bideaux, South Carolina and Dillan Bideaux, Milan; three great-grandsons, Roland Nelson, Royce Magers and Miles Nelson; and sisters, Peggy Babcock, Moline and Nancy Bobb, Cambridge.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Carol Weimer and Marvin Johnston.
