A full-blooded German from North Dakota, she grew up on a farm where hard work was simply a way of life—but she still found time to lace up her shoes and play basketball as a little girl. She lived a beautiful almost 91 years and rarely did she slow down. Even in her later years, she continued to play cards weekly, attend her great-grandchildren's extracurricular activities and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family.
She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and love of baking (especially peanut brittle for all every Christmas). She filled her home with memories and the many treasures she found while antiquing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th from noon - 1:30 PM at Van Hoe, East Moline, IL. Private family burial will take place following the visitation.
