Funeral services for Shirley M. Jungels, 72, East Moline, are 11 AM Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Shirley died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Trinity, Rock Island. She was born October 31, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Leslie R. and Elizabeth (Matthiesen) White. She married James Jungels on February 1, 1969 in Joliet, IL and together they had 2 daughters. She retired in 2003 as a branch secretary from the Rock Island Arsenal. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Shirley enjoyed bicycling, hiking, walks on the river and traveling. Survivors include her daughters; Ami Engebretson, Knoxville, TN and Mary Jungels, Junction City, OR, grandchildren; Jacob, Noah, Ava and Luke Engebretson and Beau Rain Jungels-Koons, and brothers; Leslie White Jr., Elmhurst, IL and Ronald White, Hernando Beach, FL.
