Private funeral services for Shirley Elaine Kapple, 80, Silvis, IL,formerly of Bettendorf, IA and Moline, IL, will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Shirley died Monday, November 24, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus in Silvis. Shirley Ott was born June 1, 1928, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Rudolph and Violet (Johnson) Ott. She married Howard Stanley Kapple, February 18, 1950 in Moline. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley was a secretary for Pep Young Insurance Co. of Moline and had also worked as a sales clerk at Von Maur Department Store. She is survived by her husband Howard; daughter Susan Streiff of Glenview, IL; sons and daughters-in-law Steven (Katie Joshu) Kapple of Rochester, IL and Brian (Kim) Kapple of East Moline; four granddaughters: Ivy, Lavender, Erin and Kelly; brother and sister-in-law, Brian (Karen) Ott of Moline, sister and brother-in-law Linda (Michael) Welch of Sun City West, AZ.
