Silvia Duarte

Silvia Rangel Duarte, 64, returned to Heaven on Tuesday, December 24, 2018.

Services will be noon Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd, East Moline. Visitation will be 10 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Silvia was born August 24, 1954, the daughter of Henry and Teresa Salas Rangel. She married Carlos Duarte and had two children, Carlos and Marlene. She was a graduate of Moline High School and Blackhawk College with a degree in nursing. She resided in California for most of her life.

Silvia was a loving mother and wife, she loved and helped everyone she met. Photography and taking care of people was her passion.

Survivors include her husband, Carlos, daughter, Marlene; son, Carlos Jr., sisters; Theresa Kavanagh, Henrietta Bushnell, Inocencia Rangel-Keller, Rosemary Zerbonia, Adriana Rangel Carmona, Rosario Reed, Claudia Rangel and Maria Rangel Trimble: brother; Henry Rangel, Jr.;18 nieces and nephews; and 30 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Teresa Rangel and her sister Marcella Cervantes.
